Handwara, June 06 (KNO): Doctors Association Kupwara Saturday alleged misbehaviour by Block Medical Officer (BMO) Handwara and demanded his removal from the administrative post forthwith. Talking to News agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), President DAK, Dr Aijaz complained about the misbehaviour, harassment and condemned the use of derogatory language by BMO Handwara. "It is very deeply shocking and unfortunate that during these terrible times of Covid crisis the BMO Handwara has used demeaning, abusive and un-parliamentary language with the staff of Block Handwara and public. In this regard a written complaint of abusive behavior and work place harassment has been lodged by the employees of medical block Handwara in the office Directorate of Health Service Kashmir, Chief Medical Kupwara and Deputy Commissioners Kupwara, SHO Handwara but no action has been initiated against the officer,” DAK president Kupwara said. Dr Basharat, spokesperson DAK Kupwara has expressed serious concern and said he was shocked over the vituperative audio-clip of the alleged officer wherein BMO can be heard hurling abuses and conspiring against the masses to frame them under fake FIR's and has also gone beyond by saying that “instead of giving medicine, kill them with poison.” "Such a statement by the officer of the rank of Block Medical officer is highly deplorable, pathetic in nature and the authorities at the helm of affairs should immediately investigate the matter and take stringent action against the alleged officer", Dr Basharat said. Senior General Secretary DAK Kupwara Dr Gulzar while strongly condemning the amorphous behaviour of the BMO Handwara said that such incidents can severely demoralize the health care staff in the district. DAK Kupwara, President Dr Ajaiz further said that they will not tolerate such incidents at the work place and can go to any extent for the safety and honour of the health care staff. It is pertinent to mention here that the said officer has been transferred from the earlier places on the Complaint basis of same nature from Bandipora and Keller vide Govt orders Est/3/1/33/1857-59 dated 4/11/2019, DCMO/Bpr/Est/2019-2, DFW/JK/Est 2120-23 wherein he has been alleged for his abusive behaviour and work place harassments.
